Discovering the island and marine life

Our cruise promised to be wonderful. Travelers staying in hotels, houses or B&B inns have an opportunity to explore the island in various directions - snorkeling, fishing, kayaking and canoeing, etc. Lovers of hiking may take a route along the shore or climb the mountains, caves and caverns. I am crazy about hiking therefore I tried to persuade my family to discover the island. There is a special station in Avalon to equip people. Early in the morning we dressed sneakers, put caps on our heads and started to that station; we were offered everything we needed for hiking, that is, binocular, canes, compass, and a guide. The man, named by Nicholas, led the way and explained all we asked about the island. We could see interesting plants, flowers and grass that we had never heard before. It was fun!

The next day we decided to discover sea life around the island. Actually it was my first experience in snorkeling. It was unusual and unique adventure in my life. My sister appeared to be more experienced in this kind of activity. She was diving and diving and never tired. As for me, I was exhausted very much. Nevertheless I was admired with beautiful sea plants and marine animals - it was as if I were in a miraculous garden with fantastic plants and flowers. Those wonders beneath the waves encouraged me - colorful fish and small forests surrounded me and I had terrific feelings about my being in this underwater world! After exploring the marine world our family came back to the house with great impressions and nice feelings of happiness and relaxation. Catalina Island Avalon cruise was an unforgettable adventure in our life.
